H.E. Ms. Edite do Ramos da Costa Ten-jua is a Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Communities of XVII Constitucional Government, São Tomé and Príncipe. Throughout her over 15 years career until her latest appointment, Ms.Tenjua held various positions as lawyer, businesswoman and Minister in her country. She implemented and managed the Tax & Legal practice of KPMG Angola in 2003, having also worked at KPMG Johannesburg and Maputo. In 2004, Ms. Tenjua joined Joint Authority Nigeria-S. Tomé and Principe as a lawyer, managing its legal unit from 2008 until 2010. Ms. Tenjua was Minister of Justice from 2012–2014, served on the country's Constitutional Court from 2019–2020, and has been Minister of Foreign Affairs since September 2020. Tenjua is also an entrepreneur and since 2006 the owner of TEN JUA Collection Fashion Brand, with stores in Sao Tome, Nigeria, and Portugal. She has also written several children's books including Tita Catita. She heads a foundation called El-Shaddai, which works with disadvantaged children in Africa to emphasize education. Born in 1972, H.E. Ms. Tenjua obtained her Law Degree from Lisbon Law School in 1999. Jurist, entrepreneur, writer, fashion creator, Ten Jua advocates the empowerment of women and children rights.
